The Music Lesson

THE MUSIC LESSON:  A SPIRITUAL SEARCH FOR GROWTH THROUGH MUSIC  written by: Victor L. Wooten
Dusty Strings voice and singing teacher Debby Boland Watt facilitates this NEW class that's part guided discussion, part inspired exploration. The Music Lesson: A Spiritual Search for Growth Through Music by Victor L. Wooten is the story of a struggling musician who wanted music to be in his life. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a teacher arrived. Wooten's guide moves the young musician on a journey revealing that the gifts we get from music mirror those from life.

Through the use of philosophy, spirituality, and Wooten's eccentric genius, the reader delves deep, finding the song that resides within. In this class, students read and discuss Wooten's book then use improvisation as a vehicle to venture into the spirit of music and "human flow," discovering their own "inside-song" along the way.

For all levels and all instrumentalists, including voice. Once registered, you'll need to purchase your own copy of the book and come to class prepared to share your insights on the first two chapters.
