​Debby Boland Watt brought Circle Singing to Seattle over 13 years ago. These growing Circles are attended by dozens of remarkable people interested in facilitated, yet spontaneous, music. Each has found that sounding together with compassionate purpose increases their joy.  Debby studied choral conducting at Western Washington University and Cornish College of the Arts, toured across the lower 48 and Alaska, Canada and Western Europe, worked as a vocal performer, choral director, studio musician and teacher.  She's prepared!

We begin & take off SINGING! This fasted paced Choir uses all your previous vocal improvisation skills & experience. Debby gives each choral part, building the piece as she goes.  Free form & spontaneous, these beautifully complex pieces are then held as solos, duets and the like are invited into the center of the circle.  The layering of rhythmic & melodic patterns,
call & response, vocal percussion & free improvisation require attentive listening skills & a firm grasp of glorious rhythmic forms. 

I am presently looking for new venues for VIC!  From Seattle to Tacoma all suggestions will be considered.
